The Heritage Land Bank
Advisory Commission
The seven member Heritage Land Bank Advisory Commission (HLBAC) oversees HLB inventory activities. The HLBAC issues online public notices and holds a public hearing prior to making advisory recommendations on proposed HLB actions to the Mayor and the Anchorage Assembly.
HLBAC members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Anchorage Assembly. The Commission must, by Anchorage Municipal Code (AMC), include at least one member each from the communities of Girdwood and Eagle River-Chugiak. Members may serve a maximum of two consecutive three year terms.
AMC Section 4.60.200 establishes the HLBAC to perform functions assigned by AMC Section 25.40.
