Director The Director provides leadership in developing local priorities and plans, in partnership with the entire community. The Director is also responsible for ensuring that the department provides essential services at a reasonable cost to the community. Medical Officer The Medical Officer provides medical, public health, and scientific consultation to the department, the mayor and the Assembly. The Medical Officer serves as an integral member of the Disaster Management Team and coordinates with the local medical community. Environmental Services Division (enter)The Environmental Services Division vision includes clean air, clean water, safe food and an attractive, healthy community. Programs include Air Quality, I/M-Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance, Food Safety and Sanitation, Child Adult Care Licensing, Community Noise, and Customer Services.	Community Health Services Division (enter) The Community Health Services Division focuses on the health of the community, providing preventive health care services. These include immunizations, family planning services, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, breast and cervical health screening, communicable disease investigations and tuberculosis control.
Human Services Division (enter)The mission of the Human Services Division is to meet the changing human service needs of Anchorage residents and those who find themselves in need of assistance on a temporary basis.	Administration Division (enter)The Administration Division provides administrative, accounting, budgeting, and support services, to the Director and the four divisions within Health and Human Services. The Division also staffs and administers boards/commissions/task forces, 38 grants and five contracts, including the Animal Control Center.
Health Planning & Preparedness Division (enter)The Health Planning and Preparedness Division develops initiatives which prevent physical, social and environmental health problems. Much of the work is community based and includes assessing the status of different problems in our community.	Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery (enter) The Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery is located on 22 acres at 535 East 9th Avenue. Please stop by the cemetery and revisit a part of the heritage of Anchorage and Alaska. Grave sites and a Columbarium Wall (for cremated remains) are available.
