Our public health clinic provides many services. We provide all recommended immunizations for vaccine-preventable diseases for children, and select vaccines for adults.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a supplemental food and nutrition program for pregnant and breastfeeding women and their children from birth to age 5. Provides nutrition information, counseling and periodic health screenings, along with supplemental food vouchers for infant formula and healthy foods.

The Reproductive Health Clinic provides clinical services and health education to prevent infections and/or diseases, enables families and individuals to determine the timing and spacing of their children, and provide early detection of breast and cervical cancer.

Our public health clinic fees are based on a sliding-scale. To apply the sliding scale to your services, please provide proof of income at the time of visit. If you do not have insurance and are unable to pay your entire balance at the end of your visit due to extenuating circumstances, an office associate will work with you to establish a payment plan and make a down payment. We do not deny services to clients because of an inability to pay at the time of service.
Child Care Licensing monitors and licenses child care homes and centers in the Municipality through routine site inspections, including complaint investigations.

The Food Safety and Sanitation Program permits, regulates and inspects over 2,000 public facilities in the Municipality of Anchorage. The public facilities we regulate include food establishments, school kitchens, childcare kitchens, public pools and spas, beauty salons, barbershops, and Correctional Community Residential Centers (CCRCs). We also regulate noise, smoking, pests in rental housing, the application of pesticides and administer the test for the Anchorage Food Worker Card.
The Air Quality Program is responsible for monitoring and reporting levels of air pollutants, such as carbon monoxide and fine particles, within the municipality of Anchorage. The Program also responds to local air quality complaints and is responsible for various air quality projects. Save the Date - Bike to Work Day is Wednesday, May 17th! This is a local celebration of the national event initiated by the League of American Bicyclists. Registration is not mandatory, but you are welcome to register a team from your work place, your neighborhood or club, from among your friends - or just yourself! There were 3,703 riders counted on Bike to Work Day 2016 - join in on May 17th for free!
