Anchorage Parks and Recreation hosts many special events throughout the year that bring the community together and focus on the unique attributes of Alaska's largest city. View current event listings or sign up via the parks and recreation portal, ActiveNet.

Recreation Facilities
Anchorage Parks and Recreation manages two recreation centers, two outdoor centers, a community golf course, a greenhouse, and a campground. The recreation centers host a wide range of activities and programs throughout the year. Registration is available online through the parks and recreation portal, ActiveNet, or by contacting centers directly.
Pools
The Municipality of Anchorage provides six indoor recreational and fitness pools, five in the Anchorage Bowl and one in Chugiak. Each pool offers a wide variety of programs like open swim, lap swim, swim lessons, swim teams, special events and water aerobics.
