Girdwood Skate Park

Girdwood Skate Park is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and is a skate at your own risk facility. This park is NOT supervised. The Municipality is not responsible for personal property. The use of protective equipment including helmets, knee pads and wrist guards is strongly recommended.

A local group, Friends of the Girdwood Skate Park, are responsible for renovations and work projects at the park.  In 2017 the group rebuilt several ramps and completed construction of a new half pipe.

Skate Park Rules

Park is for skateboarding, scooters and in-line skates. All other uses are prohibited. 

Alcohol, drugs and all glass containers are strictly prohibited.

Be respectful of other park users:

  • Profanity and abusive language are prohibited
  • Keep music volume down
  • Use trash containers 

All skaters must skate safely at all times and avoid collisions with others.

All spectators must stay off ramps.

Fighting or other disruptive behavior will result in loss of skating privilege.
