Liquor Licenses
The Anchorage Assembly receives liquor license applications from the State of Alaska which premises are located in the Municipality of Anchorage. These licenses are then given a recommendation for approval or protest from the Assembly based on specific criteria laid out in the Municipal Code.

Municipal Business Licenses
Listed below are the only business licenses that are issued by the Clerk's Office.

All businesses operating in the State of Alaska require a State Business License.
Additional Permitting and/or Licensing may be required by other municipal departments for businesses that operate in Anchorage.
If you do not see your business type above or on the additional listing of City Licenses and Permits you do NOT need a City(Municipal) business license.

- You are not licensed to operate your business until you receive the actual license ( All business applications require a notary; this service is provided free at the Municipal Clerk's Office. )
