Curbside Services as usual, all SWS facilities, the Anchorage Regional Landfill, Central and Girdwood transfer stations will close at 2pm and the Administration and Customer Service call center is closed on Monday September 2. Have a safe and enjoyable Labor Day Weekend.
Bring us your fish carcasses, don't trash them! The New Materials Recovery Facility open Thursday-Saturdays through October 31, $5 for 1-4, 32 gallon bags of fish carcasses, for Anchorage residents only. Less in our landfill means less greenhouse gas emmissions. Call 907-343-6250 for any questions.

NEW Girdwood Transfer Station Hours.
You asked we listened, now open Thursdays starting this week, closed for lunch 12:30-1pm each day. As a reminder, there is a designated area for lithium battery disposal. Separate lithium batteries from regular trash, tape the terminals, deposit in designated location.

Solid Waste Service's mission is to provide safe, efficient, and innovative solid waste management for the Municipality of Anchorage. By distributing free dump passes, SWS's intent is that we can encourage Anchorage residents to clean up our green spaces and make Anchorage beautiful.
The CENTRAL Wood Lot located across the street from the Central Transfer Station located on 56th Ave. is open Thursday-Saturdays 8:30-3:30pm through October 31 for Anchorage residents only for wildfire mitigation, no lumber or dirt-filled stumps please. Call 907-343-6250 for questions.
