Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a supplemental food and nutrition program for pregnant and breastfeeding women and children from birth to age five. WIC provides healthy foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to health care and other services, for Anchorage families who qualify.
Our WIC program also provides Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program education (SNAP-Ed) to the community. SNAP-Ed is an evidence-based program that helps people explore how to stretch food dollars, how to shop for and cook healthy meals, and how to stay physically active.
