Cottage food products include baked goods, pickled or fermented vegetables, and other foods that have been prepared in a home kitchen. If the item that you want to make is potentially hazardous, it is not approved under the Cottage Food program.

NOT Cottage Foods:

​Meat Products (fresh or dried/jerky)
​Fish Products (fresh, dried, or canned)
Foods that need refrigeration
​Cheeses
​Dairy Products (including ice cream)
​Cheesecake, custards, meringues
​Non-acidic canned foods
​Shellfish and crustaceans
​Foods that have not been made in a home kitchen
