Beauty Salons and Barbershops

The Food Safety and Sanitation Program conducts opening inspections of beauty salons and barbershops in the Municipality of Anchorage. These facilities offer a range of services such as haircuts, hair styling, manicures, pedicures, and waxing.

To schedule an opening inspection submit the application, ventilation approval letter, floor plan, list of services, and the $150 fee to our offices at 825 L Street, third floor, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and Wednesday 10:30 am - 4:30 pm. You may also mail the application materials and a check or money order for the $150 fee made payable to "MOA":
