West Coast Storm
Resources & Support

Chipping in to help our neighbors is the Alaskan way. As the Municipality continues to support our community partners  with emergency operations in the wake of Typhoon Halong, there are many ways for individuals to contribute, with more to come. We are launching the We Welcome Western AK campaign to ensure all of our community can help embrace and lift up our neighbors from Western Alaska.

Camp Fire Thank You

Our Municipality is full of big hearts who have stepped up to help bring joy to our neighbors displaced by the storm in western Alaska. A big thank you to Camp Fire for providing community-based programming to children at both the Alaska Airlines Center and Egan Center. Their teams led a variety of activities including beading, sewing, sports and Native Youth Olympics games.  Camp Fire is Alaska's largest childcare provider and has a rich history of offering youth-centered programs in Kwigillingok, Kipnuk, and other rural communities across our state.
