Financial donations: A simple and helpful way to support Western Alaska evacuees.
- The Alaska Community Foundation is operating a
Western Alaska Disaster Relief Fund.
- The American Red Cross of Alaska is sheltering evacuees in Anchorage and assisting with the state's disaster response in Western Alaska.

Local
Goods: The donations collections warehouse in Anchorage has been closed. Local thrift stores are the best option for used items. There are also many organizations looking for seasonal donations during the holidays.
Volunteering: The Municipality is not organizing volunteers to support the disaster. If you have questions or ideas regarding volunteers and donations, email

- Non-traditional foods (like canned goods or dry pantry staples) go to the Food Bank of Alaska.
- Traditional Native:
- Alaska Native Heritage Center: providing traditional foods to evacuees
- primarily looking for frozen food

- Instructions for Donating: Please sign up for donation windows using this link. If you are unable to sign up, please call 907-205-0068 to coordinate a drop-off time. When you arrive for your scheduled drop-off appointment, please park near the freezer for donations located by the Feller Building (detached garage on the admin side of ANHC’s campus). Please call (907) 205-0068 upon arrival. You can also reach out to ANHC's main line at 907-330-8000.
