People Mover Rider Survey Results – September 2025
On September 30, 2025, the Public Transportation Department (PTD) concluded its triannual Rider Survey. 571 people participated, up from 539 who completed it in May 2025. (PTD was also engaging the public with two different surveys involving updates to the Transit Development Plan and the Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan. This may be a contributing factor in overall reduction of survey respondents from 2024 numbers.)

This survey takes place 3 times a year (January, May, and September). The goal is to glean feedback regarding the rider's experience and learn what areas we can improve. Since the first survey in September 2022, PTD has received 7,555 responses from riders.
Clear data patterns have emerged with minor differences from survey to survey. Below are some key takeaways:
- Highest score: "It is easy convenient to pay the bus fare or buy tickets/passes." (4.03/5)
- Lowest score: "People Mover is responsive to my complaints, problems, or concerns." (3.41/5)
- Biggest improvement from May's survey: "I feel safe riding on the bus." (+.08)
Below is a table representing the mean (average) for scale-rated questions. The scale is 1-5, with 1 representing "Strongly Disagree" and 5 representing "Strongly Agree."

Riders continue to advocate for:
- Later weekend service and increased frequency.
