Traffic Department 

Our Department promotes and ensures safe and efficient transportation and communications. Our responsibilities encompass the day-to-day operations of our traffic signals and street signs. We provide services that move people and goods on our roads and pedestrian systems.

We  focus on addressing neighborhood traffic concerns and operations that maximize public safety, as well as continue to provide expertise to ensure that public safety communications and electronic systems are fully functional for all Municipal agencies.

The Traffic Department encompasses several very important sections, including Safety, Signals, and Data sections, all of which play key roles in the development and maintenance of municipal roadways and the safety of both drivers and pedestrians within the Municipality of Anchorage.
