COORDINATED TRANSPORTATION

WHAT’S THIS PLANNING PROJECT ALL ABOUT?
Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plans (CHSTPs) identify the transportation needs of individuals with disabilities, seniors, and people with low incomes; provide strategies for meeting these needs; and prioritize transportation services for funding and implementation. Federal transit law requires a coordinated plan for projects that seek funding under the Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities (Section 5310). The CHSTP provides a blueprint to advance local coordination efforts and improve transportation services.
