​NOTICE:   PANDEMIC CODE CHANGE AUTHORIZED BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS (BOARDS) ACTING IN THEIR AD​JUDICATORY CAPACITY TO HOLD TELEPHONIC HEARINGS. (SEE 2 BELOW.*)


​​We are no longer operating under an EO, and as a result, no remaining authority for telephonic attendance for Boards when "hold(ing) a hearing or public hearing, conducting deliberations, or otherwise exercising its adjudicatory capacity." 

​AMC 4.05.060.F. provides:​

  F. Physical and telephonic attendance.
     1. Adjudicatory capacity. Except as otherwise provided in this Code, physical presence by a board or commission member is required to constitute attendance at a regular or special public meeting of a regulatory or adjudicatory board or commission when the board or commission is holding a hearing or public hearing, conducting deliberations, or otherwise exercising its adjudicatory capacity.​​
     *2. Emergency declaration. During a period of emergency declaration by the mayor pursuant to section 3.80.060, the ​chair of a board or commission acting in its adjudicatory capacity shall have the authority to utilize telephonic participation by board or commission members, parties, witnesses, and the public.
     3. Non-adjudicatory boards and commissions. All other boards and commissions ma​y allow attendance and full participation by members suing telephonic or video conferencing equipment or facilitates.​
