A program advisory commission that develops a comprehensive health services plan; advises on budget and programs of the Health Department and legislative matters affecting health programs.
- Facilitate the development of prioritized local health and human services goals and needs.
- Recommend mechanisms and actions to meet the prioritized goals to the Mayor and Assembly.
- Inform the Mayor and Assembly and community on the status of health and human services issues as new strategies are implemented and challenges arise.
Regular Commission Meetings are held bi-monthly: Second Wednesday in January, March, May, July, September, and November. All meetings are held at 825 L Street, 4th floor conference room and through Microsoft Teams from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Link:

There are nine seats on the Commission. Members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Assembly. Terms are 3 years and commissioners may be reappointed for an additional 3 year term.
