​ ​Civil Rights Title VI Procedures & Forms

AMATS follows Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 USC 2000d et seq, Non-discrimination on Basis of Race, Color, or National Origin), and other related anti-discrimination statutes and regulations. This means that no one can be excluded from, denied benefits of, or discriminated against in any AMATS transportation planning program or activity because of their race, color, national origin, or sex. This applies whether or not AMATS receives funding from the U.S. Department of Transportation, including the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) or the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). People who believe they have been discriminated against in any federally assisted program or activity may file a confidential complaint. Information on how to file a complaint, along with required forms, is included in the links below.​​

Title VI Awareness:
Any person who believes himself, or any specific class of persons, to have been excluded from or denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, or sex (gender) under any AMATS plan, program, or activity, may by himself or by a representative file a written complaint with the Title VI Coordinator.
