2025 Mayor's Community Grants

Each year, the mayor of the Municipality of Anchorage awards grants to local nonprofits who serve the community. This long-standing tradition provides support and recognition for organizations dedicated to addressing community needs.

This year, $312,431 was available for award, and 42 organizations were selected to receive a range of funding for projects that dovetail with Mayor LaFrance's priorities, including public safety, housing, and community preparedness. Projects include efforts to strengthen food security, to prevent domestic violence and sexual assault, resources for young people in the foster care system, emergency supplies for vulnerable seniors, gear for firefighters providing rescue in rain and snow on backcountry trails, and more.

Recipients will be recognized in a ceremony later this summer and will have full access to the funds once municipal contract and payment processes are completed. More than 90 organizations applied for funding this year.
