2026 Mayor's Community Grants
Mayor LaFrance invites community members to apply for the 2026 Mayor's Community Grants. The application period will be open March 2 to March 30, 2026.
The Mayor’s Community Grants provide financial support to local charities and nonprofits dedicated to the betterment of Anchorage and addressing local needs.
Mayor LaFrance will award grants to a range of projects that align with these policy priorities: public safety, housing, and community-building. Additionally, including a youth engagement component in projects within these policy priorities is encouraged.
Example of projects aligning with policy priorities include:
- Supporting public safety through activating a public space or addressing behavioral health needs.
- A project that supports or creates transitional housing.
- Building community through an event or activity that bring neighbors together and cultivates connections.
Application Period:
Application Opens: March 2, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
Application Closes: March 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
