CHUGIAK POOL RENOVATION PROJECT
February 20, 2026 Project Update:
The Chugiak pool renovation project continues to move forward, with contracts and construction managed through by the Capital Projects group of the Operations & Maintenance Department.
Pool deck demolition is largely complete. As part of this work, some questions arose about the condition of the underlying slab . The contractor and Capital Projects team are currently reviewing whether any adjustments to the project scope are needed. We expect to receive additional information about this evaluation within one week's time.
At this time, there has been no indication that the project timeline will affect our anticipated opening for summer programming. We will share further updates as they become available.
