​NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARING

The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of January 12, 2021.  The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali:   

 Ordinance No. AO 2020-129, an ordinance amending the zoning map and approving the rezoning of approximately 2 acres of land from B-3 (General Business District) to I-1 (Light Industrial District) for Tract A, O'Neill Subdivision; generally located east of Boniface Parkway, south of Boundary Avenue, west of Newell Street, and north of Camelot Drive, in Anchorage (Planning and Zoning Commission Case 2020-0120) (Northeast Community Council), Planning Department.

Ordinance No. AO 2020-136, an ordinance submitting to the qualified voters residing in the Upper O'Malley Limited Road Service Area (LRSA) at the Regular Municipal Election on April 6, 2021, a ballot proposition to de-annex parcel Alpine Terrace Subdivision BLK 2 Lot 6 from the Upper O'Malley LRSA and amend the Upper O'Malley LRSA boundaries in Anchorage Municipal Code Section 27.30.700, effective retroactively as of January 1, 2021, Public Works Administration.

Resolution No. AR 2020-443, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage approving one or more Master Lease Purchase Agreement Schedules and appropriating an amount Not To Exceed $537,300 from the proceeds of one or more Master Lease Purchase Agreement Schedules to the Anchorage Community Development Authority (ACDA) Capital Improvement Budget (CIB), and approving a revised ACDA 2021 CIB To include the Energy Efficiency Lighting Retrofit Project.  Public Finance Division. 

Resolution No. AR 2020-444, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly appropriating an amount Not To Exceed $14,008,000 of revenues pursuant to Contract No. F65501-80-D-0018 with the United States Government  to pay Chugach Electric Association, Inc. (Chugach) for providing services pursuant to a subcontractor agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage (Anchorage) and Chugach.  Office of the Municipal Manager. 

Resolution No. AR 2021-4, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly stating its conditional protest regarding the renewal of brewery, liquor license #5321, for Resolution Brewing Company, LLC DBA Resolution Brewing Company located at 3024 Mountain View Drive, Anchorage, AK 99501; pending satisfaction of municipal requirements and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action (Mountain View Community Council), Acting Assembly Chair Rivera, Acting Assembly Vice-Chair Weddleton and Public Safety Committee Co-Chairs Perez-Verdia and Kennedy. 

Resolution No. AR 2021-7, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly stating its conditional protest regarding the renewal of restaurant/eating place, liquor license #5772, for Moon K Hwang DBA Northern China Restaurant located at 353 Muldoon Road, Anchorage, AK 99504; pending satisfaction of municipal requirements and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action (Northeast Community Council), Acting Assembly Chair Rivera, Acting Assembly Vice-Chair Weddleton and Public Safety Committee Co-Chairs Perez-Verdia and Kennedy.​

Resolution No. AR 2021-8, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly stating its conditional protest regarding the renewal of package store, liquor license #5045, for NW Alaska Properties LLC DBA Unwined located at 751 E 36th Avenue, #113, Anchorage, AK 99503; pending satisfaction of municipal requirements and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action (Midtown Community Council), Acting Assembly Chair Rivera, Acting Assembly Vice-Chair Weddleton and Public Safety Committee Co-Chairs Perez-Verdia and Kennedy.

Resolution No. AR 2021-10, a resolution of the Anchorage Assembly for a seventh extension of the Declaration of Civil Emergency (COVID-19) issued by the Mayor of the Municipality of Anchorage on March 12, 2020, Department of Law.​

​Ordinance No. AO 2020-137, an ordinance of the Anchorage Assembly to establish Government-to-Government Relations between the Municipality of Anchorage and the sovereign Native Village of Eklutna by amending Anchorage Municipal Code, Assembly Members Constant, Dunbar and Perez-Verdia.

How to Testify: The Assembly receives public comments during Audience Participation, as well as public testimony on all open public hearings items.

The public may participate in person, through written comments, or by phone. There is no sign-up for in-person testimony - the Chair will invite the public to speak on a first come basis during the Assembly Meeting. Please do not sign up to provide phone testimony if you plan to attend in person.
