NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARINGS:
The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of April 27, 2021. The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali:
Resolution No. AR 2021-87, a resolution approving Administrative Agreements AA # 2021-01 between the Municipality of Anchorage and the Teamsters Local 959; the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 302; the Anchorage Municipal Employees Association; the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1547; the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers – Technicians, Local 1547; the Public Employees, Local 71; and the Plumbers & Steamfitters, Local 367; agreeing to a Vaccine Leave Incentive, Human Resources Department.
Resolution No. AR 2021-94, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage revising and appropriating funds for the 2021 General Government Operating Budget for the Municipality of Anchorage, Office of Management and Budget.
Ordinance No. AO 2021-36, an ordinance setting the rates of tax levy, approving the amount of municipal property tax, and levying taxes for all service areas of the Municipality of Anchorage General Government for 2021, Office of Management and Budget.
Ordinance No. AO 2021-37, an ordinance setting the rate of tax levy, approving the amount of municipal property tax, and levying taxes for the Anchorage School District for Tax Year 2021, Office of Management and Budget.
Resolution No. AR 2021-112, a resolution revising the 2021-2026 Municipal Utilities/Enterprise Activities Capital Improvement Programs, Office of Management and Budget.
Resolution No. AR 2021-113, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage revising and appropriating funds for the 2021 Municipal Utilities/Enterprise Activities Operating and Capital Improvement Budgets for the Municipality of Anchorage, Office of Management and Budget.
Ordinance No. AO 2021-38, an ordinance authorizing acquisition of real property legally described as Lot 5 Block 3 Stolle Subdivision (Plat 81-42) (PID 020-021-17), placement into the Heritage Land Bank (HLB) inventory, and amending the HLB 2021 Annual Work Program, Real Estate Services.
Ordinance No. AO 2021-39, an ordinance authorizing the disposal by perpetual, non-exclusive telecommunication and electrical easements to Chugach Electric Association, Inc., of a portion within municipal real property, legally described as Lot 1 Jack McAlister Subdivision (Plat 2020-48) (PID 009-284-15), Real Estate Services.
Ordinance No. AO 2021-42, an ordinance of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, authorizing a ground lease for certain real property of the Municipality of Anchorage; authorizing a facility lease and authorizing the Chief Fiscal Officer to enter into a direct placement with a financial institution for the purpose of financing the payment for improvements on property owned by the Anchorage Community Development Authority; delegating to the Chief Fiscal Officer approval of final lease rates and terms; and appropriating an amount Not To Exceed $2,000,000 to the Areawide General Fund (101000) for the payment, Finance Department.

Resolution No. AR 2021-115, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly stating its conditional protest regarding a new Brewery, Liquor License #5943, for Brewerks, LLC DBA Brewerks, llc located at 625 W. 59th Avenue, Unit 2 (Building Units A & B), Anchorage, AK 99518; pending satisfaction of municipal requirements and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action (Taku/Campbell Community Council), Acting Assembly Chair Rivera, Acting Assembly Vice-Chair Weddleton and Public Safety Committee Co-Chairs Perez-Verdia and Kennedy.
Resolution No. AR 2021-116, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly stating its conditional protest regarding a new Package Store, Liquor License #5942, for Aurora Nights Liquor, Inc. dba Aurora Nights Liquor located at 301 East Dimond Blvd., Suite C, Anchorage, AK 99515; pending satisfaction of municipal requirements and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action (Taku/Campbell Community Council), Acting Assembly Chair Rivera, Acting Assembly Vice-Chair Weddleton and Public Safety Committee Co-Chairs Perez-Verdia and Kennedy.
Resolution No. AR 2021-117, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly stating its conditional protest regarding a new Package Store, Liquor License #5946, for Vitus Energy LLC dba Vitus Energy located at 1501 West Northern Lights Blvd., Anchorage, AK 99517; pending satisfaction of municipal requirements and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action (Turnagain Community Council), Acting Assembly Chair Rivera, Acting Assembly Vice-Chair Weddleton and Public Safety Committee Co-Chairs Perez-Verdia and Kennedy.
How to Testify: The Assembly receives public comments during Audience Participation, as well as public testimony on all open public hearing items.
The public may participate in person, through written comments, or by phone. There is no sign-up for in-person testimony - the Chair will invite the public to speak on a first come basis during the Assembly Meeting. Please do not sign up to provide phone testimony if you plan to attend in person.
