How Can We Help You?

Animal Care & Control

Volunteering at the Animal Care and Control Center

Becoming a volunteer at the Center:

Thank you for considering Anchorage Animal Care and Control as a place to volunteer your time and talents!  Volunteers provide our shelter animals with care and compassion and aid our shelter in so many ways.  Please download and complete the Volunteer Application and Health Questionnaire from the link below.

Completed applications should be mailed to:
Doyon Universal Services
HR Department
Attention:  Crystal Friess
11500 C Street
Anchorage, AK 99515

We look forward to working with you to find a volunteer role that makes full use of your skills, interests, and compassion while contributing to the well-being of the shelter and those we serve.  Please understand that completion of this application does not assure placement in the volunteer program.  You will be contacted for further training based on the shelter’s needs and the information you provide.  If you have questions, please call the volunteer coordinator at 343-8252.

Again, thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Municipality of Anchorage Animal Care and Control Center.
