Volunteering at the Animal Care and Control Center
Becoming a volunteer at the Center:
Thank you for considering Anchorage Animal Care and Control as a place to volunteer your time and talents! Volunteers provide our shelter animals with care and compassion and aid our shelter in so many ways. Please download and review the Essential Capabilities Form from the link below. If you meet these requirements and would like to schedule an orientation, please call the volunteer coordinator at 343-8252. You will be required to bring a signed Essential Capabilities Form with you to your scheduled orientation.
We look forward to meeting you to share more about Anchorage Animal Care and Control’s role in the community and to find a volunteer role that makes full use of your skills, interests, and compassion while contributing to the well-being of the shelter and those we serve.

Becoming a foster volunteer for the Center:
AACCC is also accepting applications for people that are willing to provide care for animals that need some TLC before they can go up for adoption. This includes adult animals with minor medical issues, and puppies and kittens that need to grow a bit to meet the age and weight necessary for adoption. If you think you might have the time, space and resources to give these animals the extra time and attention they need, open your heart and your home… foster!
