The Korean American Community of Anchorage is proud to recognize Korean-Alaska Friendship Day, which will take place on June 25, 2022 (Saturday) at the Korean American Community Center, 3630 Jewel Lake Road.
This is the 15th year of celebrating the Korea-Alaska Friendship Day proclaimed by former Governor Sarah Palin in 2008. The proclamation was to commemorate the Anchorage Korean Consular Office's re-opening in 2008 when Korea and Alaska were increasingly becoming important trading partners.
After a lengthy period of challenges that came with the pandemic and with sad news being covered nationwide, we hope to lift up and fill each other with positive energy and hope for a better future. Through this event, we also wish to celebrate our city's diversity and build unity.
