This large retail center should be co-located with others near Dimond. Rather it is taking up heavy industrial land which is in short supply in Anchorage. I believe the 2020 Plan calls for locating commercial areas together and this is sprawl! It would cause a great impact to 104th which would need to be upgraded as well as King St which was just remodeled but not to the degree to handle the traffic that this new commercial area would create. I do not know if the Old Seward Hwy is scheduled to be upgraded with intersection signals etc, but that road also would need major work to safely handle the traffic because most traffic would come from Old Seward and Dimond/King. This is a poor choice of use of our industrial lands and a poor location for compliance with 2020.
