Coyote Santo already hosts parties at this banquet hall that have been very loud and disruptive to my home. 2 examples: • Party held on Saturday 7/27/19 that went from about 7 pm to about 1 am. The back door was kept open the whole time. Patrons were seen walking around my property until about 1 am. The music was so loud that it was causing the whole side of my house to vibrate. I called the non-emergency police to complain at 8 pm but no one ever came. • Party held on Monday 8/5/19 that went from about 7 pm to about 10 pm. They again kept the back door open the whole time. All of the patrons came out the back door and they held their party activities in the back alley right next to my house. I have a video taken at about 8:45 pm showing how loud and disruptive this event was to my home. Coyote Santo also has had others try to remove their liquor license in the past. October 2018 there was a public hearing. I believe that allowing Coyote Santo to dispense alcohol until 1 am seven days a week will only allow these parties to become more disruptive to our neighborhood - than they already are. Recommendations to Coyote Santo: • They should only be allowed to serve alcohol from 11 am to 10 pm on Sunday through Thursday and 11 am to 11 pm on Friday and Saturday. There are many banquet halls in Anchorage and a majority of them are not allowed to dispense alcohol when they are positioned within and located next to a neighborhood. Why is Coyote Santo allowed to have this exception? Red Robins and La Mex located in near proximity to Coyote Santo both abide by these hours and they are not located within 30 feet of residential homes as Coyote Santo is. Viking Hall is only allowed to be open til midnight and not allowed to serve alcohol. Bayshore Chalet is also not allowed to serve alcohol. • They should be required to keep the back door closed during business hours, especially when they are hosting parties. They should also be required to sound proof their back door to prevent sound from reaching our homes. They should also consider how loud their music can be played to so as not to disrupt the quiet enjoyment of our homes. o Coyote Santo agreed to keeping the back door closed during all parties and during business hours. They did not agree to sound proofing the back door. • They should be required to build and maintain a wooden fence along the back/North side of their property that prevents their patrons from being able to access our neighborhood except for the cement walking access trail on the Northwest corner of their property. o Coyote Santo agreed to putting up a fence along the back side of their property. A Taku/Campbell Community Council member indicated they should consider making the fence tall to prevent car lights from reaching the neighborhood. Another Community Council member indicated that this fence should also line La Mex’s property which is the East side of Coyote Santo’s property.
