| I object to the issuance of another Alcoholic Beverage Conditional Use Permit in this area. The establishment will be too close to residential areas and will likely exacerbate an already growing problem with inebriates in the neighborhood park. The park has a skateboard park and playground equipment for young people to recreate and needlessly brings undesirables into the area. The site does not lend itself to good vehicular circulation and will likely develop a pedestrian client base. These customers will infiltrate the surrounding neighborhood and recreational trails. I question the need for another retail sale of alcoholic beverages establishment in this area. There currently two within 1,500 feet of this location (Value Liquor, Costco). In addition, there are at least five businesses that also sell alcohol in this area (La Mex, Gallos, Las Margaritas, Red Robin, & King Street Brewery). I urge you to consider the quality of life for residents like myself in this area and do not permit this use in this location. | |
