| I have lived across the street from Fred Meyer for 12 years. My observation over the years has been that this store generates a tremendous amount of traffic congestion. I also observe that the parking lot is almost always packed. I can't imagine how much worse it will be if they expand their store without providing the required number of parking spaces. It is a busy, dangerous area, bordered on three sides by high volume, high speed traffic. I think it would be a mistake to allow this variance. I will submit separate comments regarding the proposed expansion, but believe that, too, is inadvisable. | |
