| I would like to comment on the communications tower planned for the corner or Aero and Northern Lights. The Turnagain Community Council does not speak for me and any time I have attempted to contact the in the past I never got a reply so I don't bother anymore. This tower does not have any direct effect on them while it sits directly across from my house. The N. Lts "improvement" 6 years ago destroyed any peace and quiet we hoped for and the 35 mph speed limit is a joke. This is another opportunity for the Muni to make money from private industry just like the road improvement (UPS, FedEx that race past the house everyday). ACS can move exactly 1/2 mile down the road and erect the tower and not influence any homes. I will be at the meeting tonight. | |

| I would like to comment that I live very close to this tower. The notice was put up roughly 4 weeks ago and I walked to it and took down the available info. I phoned the muni attempting to get info and was told they had no record of it. So I return from work and have the flyer in the mail yesterday, July 20. I am going on vacation next monday and won't be available for the meeting. I feel this is a fast process in which I will have difficulty in formulating and submitting my comments. I see no technical data listed as to what the output of this installation will be. The fact that it will be on existing high power transmission tower is not that comforting to me. We are a stones throw from this tower and we are already concerned with the power lines. This may be adding insult to injury. With all the concern about microwaves and cell phone usage it seems there is no technical data to assuage my or my families concern. I will submit additional comments as time allows. | |

| I am writing concerning the application of ACS for a cellular communication tower which is to be located on an existing Chugach Electric Transmission tower within the right of way at Northern Lights Blvd and Aero Ave. In response to an earlier September 2009 ACS proposal to reconstruct a cell tower at 3300 W. Northern Lights Blvd, the Turnagain Community Council adopted a resolution calling on ACS to locate its cell tower at other pre-existing locations. We appreciate ACS’ effort to propose a tower as part of an existing Chugach Electric Tower. The Board of the Turnagain Community Council has discussed the ACS proposal since our council does not meet during the summer months. We do not object to the ACS cell tower proposal at Northern Lights and Aero unless objections are raised by local residents. Thank you for the opportunity to comment on the application.
