To Whom It May Concern: I question why this facility has been allowed to operate to this point when it is zoned residential. If they have failed to follow regulations to this point, I question their commitment to follow further regulations. Another concern I have goes for all of the people operating horse riding facilities that use public roads and areas. Pet owners are required to pick up feces from their pets when they take them out to public areas. There should be regulation on horses also. Along O'Malley Road, down the middle of Our Road and in the Zoo parkinglot horse owners and riders let their animals urinate and defecate in public areas without any visable attempt to clean up or without any consideration for others. Sincerely, Patrick Lampi

The Huffman/O'Malley Community Council has voted unanimously to support this proposed CUP for an existing commercial equestrian property.

Clarification on previous comment… This property and the one adjacent to it on the north both drain toward Our Road and then down Our Road to the north. This spring the melting snow runoff from these properties has been brownish and smelly from horse manure. While it appears to be the property to the north of the property involved in this case that is contributing most to this brown smelly runoff, my concern is the same: what protection is and will be in place for the neighboring property owners and Campbell Creek from horse manure laden runoff and pollution of the aquifer that all of us depend on for our drinking water? A lesser concern but still a real one is the smell of animal waste that those of us who live between the zoo and these properties deal with depending on the direction of the wind. I think the animals are nice yet this is more of a residential area than an agricultural one and these concerns should be addresses in the conditions of use for both of these properties. Thanks
