Youth Programs
U-Pass
Through a contractual agreement between each individual participating agency/organization and People Mover, students, faculty, and employees are able to use student/employee IDs to ride for FREE!
The U-Pass program offers unlimited bus rides anywhere in Anchorage, whether traveling from work to home, from campus to a shopping mall, and anywhere and everywhere in between! The more you ride, the more you save with U-Pass!
U-Pass Participants
- University of Alaska Anchorage - Students and staff ride free by swiping their Wolfcard in the diagonal slot of the farebox.
- Alaska Career College - Students and staff ride free by showing their current year ID card.
- Alaska Pacific University and Charter College - Students, faculty, and staff ride free by showing the bus operator their current semester ID card.
- Providence Alaska Medical Center and Conoco Philips - Employees ride free by showing their employee ID to the bus operator.
- Denali Universal Services
Class Pass
People Mover offers ASD elementary teachers the option of purchasing a school year group class pass for $60. This photo ID Class Pass allows groups of up to 30, including the teacher, accompanying aides and parents, to use People Mover buses for unlimited field trips throughout the current school year. Seniors
Aside from paying half fare, seniors (60+) ride People Mover for FREE every Wednesday. Simply show your ID to the driver upon boarding.
Books on Buses
Every bus has a designated “Kids Reading Room” area with a selection of age appropriate books. Our young riders are encouraged to read while they ride!

Advertising on People Mover
