Turpin Park Improvements

Project Overview

Image of playground equipment at Turpin Park

Turpin Park is a neighborhood use park located at Oklahoma Street and Peck Avenue in the Northeast Community Council area. The park has a playground suitable for 2 to 12 years, open lawn and a natural wetlands area.

In 2024 The Alaska state legislature approved a Commerce, Community and Economic Development Grant to the Municipality of Anchorage Parks and Recreation Turpin Park improvements. The grant is intended to upgrade existing playground equipment, surfacing, amenities and safety improvements at the park. The playground area is adjacent to wetland and drainage improvements are needed to support an accessible and safe playground.
