Overview
In 2024, Anchorage voters approved a Parks Bond that included park improvements and safety enhancements in the Mountain View neighborhood. Mountain View parks include Davis Park, William B. Lyons Park, Duldida Park and Louie G. Mizelle Park. The bond was passed to implement priorities identified in the Davis Park Master Plan, adopted in 2017, as well as other neighborhood park safety enhancements and lighting.
Community Outreach
The public was invited to share their ideas and comments about parks in Mountain View, and prioritize types of improvements they wanted to see in parks in the neighborhood.
A Community Advisory Group was formed to assist with further prioritization of park improvements. This volunteer group met 3 times and helped develop a plan for improvements that focussed on Davis Park.
