Project Overview
Creekside Park is an 8-acre park located at East 6th Avenue and Oklahoma Street in the Northeast Community Council area, adjacent to Creekside Elementary School. The path along the Patterson Street Right-of-Way is designated a Safe Route to School for Creekside Elementary.
In 2024 The Alaska state legislature approved a Commerce, Community and Economic Development Grant to the Municipality of Anchorage Parks and Recreation for park and pathway improvements. The grant provides funds to upgrade the Safe Route to school that runs between 10th and 6th Avenue along the Patterson Street Right-of-Way, paths within the park, and upgrades to the playground equipment and surfacing to comply with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
