Board of Building Regulation Examiners and Appeals Members
There is established a Board of Building Regulation Examiners and Appeals (hereafter known as the "Building Board"), as described in Section 4.40.030 of the Anchorage Municipal Code, consisting of eleven members appointed by the mayor and subject to confirmation by the Assembly, who are qualified by experience or training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction. - At least two members shall be Architects registered in the State of Alaska.
- At least two members shall be Professional Engineers registered as Civil Engineers in the State of Alaska.
- At least one member shall be a Professional Engineer registered as a Mechanical Engineer in the State of Alaska.
- At least one member shall be a Professional Engineer registered as an Electrical Engineer in the State of Alaska.
- At least two to four members shall be licensed General Contractors actively engaged in general building construction and at least one [two] of the members [four] shall be actively engaged in home building.
- At least one member shall be a licensed Electrical Contractor actively engaged in the electrical trade.
- At least one member shall be a licensed Plumbing Contractor actively engaged in the plumbing trade.
- At least one member shall be a licensed Mechanical Contractor actively engaged in the mechanical trade.
- Up to two additional members, qualified by experience or training and actively engaged in any of the above listed disciplines, trades or professions.
