AMATS Primary Functions:

  • Guide development of regional multimodal transportation system investments.
  • Implement the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP).
  • Program the funding for projects identified in the MTP through the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
  • Coordinate with agencies that have a role in and responsibility for transportation planning and land-use planning and development, including health and environmental concerns.
