Anchorage, Alaska: The Municipality of Anchorage Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is taking orders for personal protective equipment (PPE) to be given to healthcare providers within the Municipality of Anchorage.  Healthcare providers are prioritized for receiving limited PPE, which includes health and long-term care facilities with confirmed in-patient cases of COVID-19.

“We are releasing our ordering system for PPE to ensure all healthcare providers in the Municipality of Anchorage have the information," said Amanda Loach, Deputy Incident Commander, “We want to ensure that healthcare providers at highest risk for contracting COVID-19 from an ill patient are protected."

Available PPE is limited to the following items:

  • Gloves
  • Tyvek suits
  • Clear plastic face shields
  • Foot coverings
  • Head coverings
  • N95 masks of various models

9. All other requests for PPE will be considered on a case-by-case basis

Businesses requesting PPE should be prepared to answer a series of questions related to current PPE orders the business has pending, how long their current PPE may last them and what PPE conservation plans are in place.  A link to the ordering request process can be found here.
