Anchorage Participates in a "Walk Together"

ANCHORAGE – This Saturday, Anchorage residents will participate in an international Walk Together coordinated by the Sister Cities Commission. This march, started in Australia, is a part of the Welcoming Anchorage initiative and strives to promote unity, respect and inclusion towards all in our community. Anchorage’s Sister City Darwin, Australia will hold their own Walk Together on the same day as a sign of unity.  

WHO: The Anchorage Sister Cities Commission, Mayor Ethan Berkowitz, and First Lady Mara Kimmel

WHAT: Anchorage’s inaugural Walk Together

WHEN: Saturday, October 22nd at 11 a.m.

WHERE: The walk begins at the Mt. View Service Center building at 161 Klevin Street and ends at the Special Olympics Alaska Headquarters at 3200 Mountain View Drive.
