Assembly Approves Contracts for Arena Management

6/26/2026

Today, the Anchorage Assembly unanimously approved (12-0) contracts for management of three important community recreational facilities:

  • $450,010 to Anchorage Community Ice Management (ACIM) to operate the Ben Boeke and Dempsey Anderson Ice Arenas (AM 421-2026); and
  • $2,885,928 to All In 49, LLC to operate the George M. Sullivan Arena (AM 422-2026).

“Anchorage is a hockey town, and these facilities are critical pieces of our community infrastructure," said Assembly Member Sydney Scout

“I am glad to see forward movement to ensure these facilities are managed by good faith operators, used to their maximum potential, and that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. It's no secret that facilities like these do not last forever, and as a representative for North Anchorage I am particularly interested in continuing conversations about the lifespan of the Sullivan arena. Together, we can and will ensure that our community continues to have access to good ice while maximizing every opportunity to build the Anchorage of the future."

About the operators:

  • ACIM is a newly formed subsidiary entity established by the non-profit Anchorage Hockey Association, which was founded by Dempsey Anderson in 1961.
  • All In 49 is a newly established entity formed by the ownership and management team of the Anchorage Wolverines.

“I'm pleased we had the opportunity to work through these agreements in a transparent, public process," said Assembly Vice Chair Daniel Volland. “We want to balance good financial stewardship of these facilities with continued recreational opportunity. These contracts allow for both."
