NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARINGS: 

The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of August 28, 2018.  The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali: 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-64, an ordinance amending Anchorage Municipal Code Chapter 3.70 in compliance with the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Janus v. AFSCME and affirming the Municipality’s commitment to neutrality in discussions with employees regarding union membership., Department of Law and Employee Relations Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-69, an ordinance authorizing a disposal of four recorded Sanitary Sewer Easements and one Water Easement located on Lot 1, Miller Hansen Subdivision, Lot 1, Miller Subdivision, Lot 14 and Tract B, Ryan Subdivision, Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-70, an ordinance authorizing the disposal by perpetual, non-exclusive telecommunication and electrical easements to Chugach Electric Association, Inc., of portions within Heritage Land Bank Parcels 6-057(A-F) and 6-057-2, legally described as Lots 1-5 Block 2 and Tracts A and B Girdwood Industrial Park Subdivision Phase I (Plat 2016-67) (PID 075-131-09; 075-131-10; 075-131-11; 075-131-12; 075-131-13; 075-131-06; 075-131-07), Real Estate Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2018-71, an ordinance authorizing a one (1) year lease extension with two (2) six-month options between the Municipality of Anchorage (Tenant) and the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (Lessor) for the continued use of the premises located at 3925 Tudor Centre Drive, Suite 103, for the Anchorage Police Department’s Sexual Assault Response Team and Crimes Against Children Programs, Real Estate Department. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-225, a resolution ratifying a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Municipality of Anchorage and Public Employees, Local 71, Employee Relations Department. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-226, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly establishing a task force to develop and propose an improved official seal for the Municipality of Anchorage, Assembly Member Dyson, Assembly Chair Dunbar and Mayor Berkowitz. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-227, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, confirming and levying assessments for the water special improvements within Levy Upon Connection (LUC) Roll 2018-W-2, setting date of payment and providing for penalties and interest in the event of delinquency, Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility.  

Resolution No. AR 2018-228, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, confirming and levying assessments for the sewer special improvements within Levy Upon Connection (LUC) Roll 2018-S-2, setting date of payment and providing for penalties and interest in the event of delinquency, Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-231, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly approving the renewal of Municipal Marijuana Licenses for Manufacturing Establishment: Babylon Company, #M10322; stating the Assembly’s non-objection to the renewal of State of Alaska Marijuana License Number 10322 for the same establishment, respectively; and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action, Assembly Chair Dunbar.

Resolution No. AR 2018-236, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly stating its protest regarding the new Beverage Dispensary-Tourism Liquor License #5678 for JPK TR Anchorage, LLC DBA Staybridge Suites-Anchorage located at 200 Calais Dr., Anchorage, AK 99503 and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action (Midtown Community Council), Assembly Chair Dunbar, Assembly Vice-Chair Croft and Assembly Public Safety Committee Chair Dyson.

Resolution No. AR 2018-237, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating $488,000 of the Eagle River/Chugiak Parks and Recreation Service Area Fund (162000), Fund Balance for the Eagle River/Chugiak Parks and Recreation Department General Operating Budget within the same service area Fund (162000), Parks and Recreation Department, to provide necessary funds to sustain department operations and services through Fiscal Year 2018 due to significant changes in 2018 assessed property values. 

Resolution No. AR 2018-238, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage appropriating $191,497.51 a Transfer of Responsibilities Agreement (TORA) Grant, from the State of Alaska, Department of Transportation and Public Facilities to the Anchorage Bowl Parks and Recreation Service Area CIP Grant Fund (461900), to the Parks and Recreation Department for funding the Smart Lighting Pilot Program.
