NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARINGS: 

The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of April 9, 2019.  The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali: 

Ordinance No. AO 2019-31, an ordinance amending the zoning map and approving the rezoning of a strip of land measuring 69' X 330' of Government Lot 5, Section 18, T12N, R3W (Remnant), from R-2M (Mixed Residential) District to I-2 (Heavy Industrial with a Special Limitation) District, containing ±0.52 acres, generally located south of West 92nd Avenue between Arctic Boulevard to the west and C Street to the east, within the NW 1/4 of Section 18, T12N, R3W, S.M., Alaska (Bayshore-Klatt Community Council) (Planning and Zoning Commission Case 2017-0070), Planning Department.  

Resolution No. AR 2019-73, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, confirming and levying assessments for the water special improvements within Levy Upon Connection (LUC) roll 2019-W-1, setting date of payment and providing for penalties and interest in the event of delinquency, Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility

Resolution No. AR 2019-74, a resolution of the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, confirming and levying assessments for the sewer special improvements within Levy Upon Connection (LUC) roll 2019-S-1, setting date of payment and providing for penalties and interest in the event of delinquency, Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility.

Ordinance No. AO 2019-43, an ordinance amending Anchorage Municipal Code Chapter 3.70, Employee Relations, to move Central Payroll from Finance to Employee Relations, Employee Relations Department. 

Ordinance No. AO 2019-44, an ordinance of the Anchorage Assembly amending Anchorage Municipal Code Sections 2.30.035, 2.30.060, and 2.30.065 regarding Assembly procedures for agenda items, Assembly Chair Croft.  

Ordinance No. AO 2019-45, an ordinance of the Anchorage Assembly authorizing Assembly Members to be designated as additional members on the Board of Equalization at any time the Assembly determines by ordinance that it is reasonable and prudent to do so, by amending certain sections of Title 12 of the Anchorage Municipal Code, Assembly Chair Croft. 

Ordinance No. AO 2019-46, an ordinance approving acquisition of real property, proposed Alaska Railroad Ship Creek Tidelands Tract A (Preliminary Plat S12453), legally described as an approximately 20.29 acre portion within SEC 7 T13N R3W S.M. (PID 002-231-01), for a purchase price of $1,500,000 plus closing costs for the Port of Alaska Modernization Project, Real Estate Department.

Resolution No. AR 2019-98, a resolution appropriating $120,000 as a contribution from the 2019 Real Estate Department, Real Estate Services Division Areawide General Fund (101000) to the Areawide General Capital Improvement Project Fund (401800) for payment of principal and interest on an inter-fund loan for the Eagle River Town Center, all within the Real Estate Department. 

Resolution No. AR 2019-97, a resolution approving the Heritage Land Bank 2019 Annual Work Program and 2020-2024 Five-Year Management Plan, Real Estate Department. 

Assembly Memorandum No. AM 211-2019, Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility Board of Directors appointment (Soren Orley), Mayor’s Office. 

Resolution No. AR 2019-110, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly stating its protest regarding the renewal of beverage dispensary-tourism liquor license, #4283, for Bistro IT, LLC DBA PubHouse, located at 1020 W 12th Ave., Anchorage, AK 99501 and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action.

Resolution No. AR 2019-111, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly stating its protest regarding a new restaurant/eating place liquor license, #5757, and restaurant designation permit, for AK Alchemist, LLC DBA AK Alchemist, located at 103 E 4th Ave., Anchorage, AK 99501 and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action.

Resolution No. AR 2019-106, a resolution of the Anchorage Assembly recognizing the pollution caused by burning fossil fuels contributes to climate change on a global scale, and urging the United States Congress to support and pass the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2019, Assembly Member Traini and Assembly Member Constant.

Resolution No. AR 2019-123, a resolution correcting special assessments for Special Assessment District 18-04, Department of Law.
