NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY PUBLIC HEARING:
The Assembly of the Municipality of Anchorage will hold a public hearing on the following legislation at its regular meeting of January 24, 2023. The public hearing portion of the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and is held in the Assembly Chambers, Z.J. Loussac Library, 3600 Denali:
Resolution No. AR 2022-401, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly adopting the Public Naming Panel's unanimous recommendation to name the dedicated Municipal Park at 1217 Latouche Street as Fairview Delgga Park, Parks and Recreation Department.
Ordinance No. AO 2023-7, an ordinance of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly waiving or modifying certain provisions of Anchorage Municipal Code, including Title 21, Land Use Planning, and Title 15, Environmental Protection, to allow for temporary snow disposal sites due to the large volume of snow and insufficient locations to place the snow; to include a streamlined permitting process, and appeal process under Title 14, and allowing for discretionary waivers deemed in the public interest, Department of Law.
Ordinance No. AO 2023-9, an ordinance of the Anchorage Assembly amending Anchorage Municipal Code Chapter 3.30 Personnel Rules to create an Executive Attorney Pay Plan, Department of Law.
Assembly Memorandum No. AM 8-2023, Zoning Board of Examiners and Appeals appointments (Jane McKay, Dave Hale), Mayor's Office.
Assembly Memorandum No. AM 28-2023, Urban Design Commission appointment (Ryan Lucas), Mayor's Office.
Resolution No. AR 2023-17, a resolution of the Anchorage Municipal Assembly regarding the transfer of Municipal Marijuana Retail License #M10245 for Double Eagle Farms, LLC DBA Double Eagle Cannabis; stating the Assembly's conditional protest of the transfer of State of Alaska Marijuana License #10245 for the same establishment, respectively; and authorizing the Municipal Clerk to take certain action (Mountain View Community Council)
How to Testify: The Assembly receives public comments during Audience Participation, as well as public testimony on all open public hearing items.
The public may participate in person, through written comments, or by phone. There is no sign-up for in-person testimony - the Chair will invite the public to speak on a first come basis during the Assembly Meeting. Please do not sign up to provide phone testimony if you plan to attend in person.
