Statement of Purpose
The Treasury Division of the Municipal Finance Department is responsible for billing, collecting and auditing the City's tax revenues. The Treasury Division practices fair, equitable, accurate and timely operating procedures in accordance with state and local taxation laws.

Tax revenues collected provide primary funding for city services of benefit to Anchorage residents, businesses and visitors--examples of city services funded through local taxes include: public safety, education, roads and transportation, health and human services and cultural and recreational services.

The Treasury Division is comprised of the following four sections plus management of the MOA Trust Fund:

  • Delinquent Collections
    - Delinquent Business property and mobile home tax collections
    - Misc. accounts receivable collections
