AMATS has designed this guide to serve as a primer on AMATS' roles and responsibilities for the Municipality's interested citizens and local policymakers, and to provide basic information on the Anchorage area's transportation network.
This is a guide about transportation planning issues that Anchorage citizens identified as being the most important to understand, namely the Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and the Transportaion Improvement Program (TIP). It is also a toolbox of public participation strategies and techniques.
