Route Information & Description Route Information Effective July 23, 2007  Rt 36   West Anchorage Weekday • Saturday • Sunday  Route 36 travels between the Downtown Transit Center and Alaska Pacific University via Minnesota Drive, West Northern Lights, Aero, Wisconsin, Spenard Recreation Center, 36th Ave., the Frontier Building, Loussac Library and UAA and Providence Hospital.       Major transfer points on this route are: Downtown Transit Center to All routes except 1, 65, 77, 79 Spenard & Wisconsin  to Rt. 7 C Street & 36th to Rts. 2, 75 traveling outbound A Street & 36th to Rts. 2, 75 traveling inbound Denali & 36th  to Rt. 60 Lake Otis & 36th  to Rt. 2 Providence & Alumni Dr. to Rts. 1, 3, 13, 45, 102  Major points of interest:  Spenard Recreational Center  Carrs (Aurora Village) Day Labor (Benson & Minnesota) DMV (Benson & Spenard)  Center Bowl Spenard Post Office VECO Building aka IRS Building (New Seward & 36th) Frontier Building Midtown Post Office (B St) Loussac Library Century 16 Theater Job Service (33rd & Eagle) Providence Hospital  UAA  Alaska Pacific University Route 36 stops on Providence Drive; it DOES NOT pull into the Providence Hospital parking lot.
