2007 Citywide Cleanup

There will be free residential disposal at all MOA/SWS disposal sites at the Central Transfer Station and the Anchorage Regional Landfill only during the following designated dates/hours:

 

Central Transfer Station: 54th Ave. & Juneau
AnchorageRegional Landfill: Glenn Hwyat Hiland Rd.

April 28 (Sat)

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

April 29 (Sun)

12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m.

May 5 (Sat)

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

 

Girdwood Transfer Station

April 28 (Sat)

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

April 29 (Sun)

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

May 5 (Sat)

10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

For Residential Users:

Limits: Loads must be hauled in a car, unmodified pickup trailer or trailer with the load not to exceed the size of a standard pickup bed (8’ L X 5.5’ W X 3’ H), must be covered or secured to prevent spillage in transit (or subject to $10.00 fine) and must not exceed 1,000 pounds. All loads exceeding these limits will be weighed and charged at $45.00 per ton.

Free disposal includes 5 gallons of waste oil, one car battery, and up to 40 pounds of household hazardous waste per day. There is a $20.00 charge for all appliances containing Freon (refrigerators, freezers).

Customers using the commercial entrance at the Central Transfer Station or the Landfill working face are required to wear safety vests.
