WINTER MAINTENANCE    Street Maintenance Division crews are scheduled to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week from mid October through mid May.    Our goal is to remove snow from over 1,300 lane miles of roadway within 72 hours of a snowfall.  Click here for the Snow Plow Out Status Map  The Alaska Department of  Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT) maintains most major road ways within the Municipality of Anchorage.  Please click this link to access the map of Winter State Maintained Roads.  Should you have any comments or questions regarding the winter state maintained roads, please contact the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities at: 338-1466.  Snow removal of driveways is the responsibility of each resident.  Snow from driveways may not be plowed into the street right-of-way, or onto sidewalks.  This is a violation of Municipal Code Title 24.80.090 and could result in a citation (when you click this link, please browse to Title 24.80.090).  If you have requests, comments and/or questions, please contact us online by filling out the:  Street Maintenance Feedback Form.     Should you be in need of immediate assistance, please call us at: 343-8277.
