Commission Member Biographies: Michael L. Smulski, P.E. Chair, Anchorage Public Safety Advisory Commission Anchorage Public Safety Advisory Commission member since 2001 Born Hartford, Connecticut  Alaska resident since 1983 Mike is a self-employed engineering consultant, retired from Alyeska Pipeline Service Company.  He is a Graduate Electrical Engineer with Professional Registration in Alaska, Washington, and Utah; and holds a Fire Protection Design Permit from the Alaska State Fire Marshal.  Mike’s other interests include aerobatic flying, music, archery, mathematics, and philosophy.
