Born in Ketchikan, Alaska (Territory of Alaska)
Alaska resident since 1949
Graduate of Ketchikan High School and University of Alaska, Fairbanks; currently enrolled at Alaska Emergency Medical Tec.
Lynda is currently employed as a realtor with Pacific Rim Properties and as C.E.O. for ZF Enterprises, Inc. She retired from the law enforcement field with 29 years of service in the Alaska Department of Corrections, consisting of 8 years as Director of Probation & Parole; 3.5 years as Superintendent of Sixth Ave. Correctional Center in Anchorage; 5 years as Assistant Superintendent in Juneau and Kenai; 10 years as Probation Officer Supervisor in Sitka and Kenai; and 2.5 years as Probation Officer in Ketchikan and Anchorage.
Lynda’s community organization memberships include Salvation Army Booth Home Board of Directors; Soroptimist International; secretary of Abbott Loop Community Council; Vice President of Alaska Women's Political Caucus; Mothers Against Drunk Driving Advisory Board; Alaska Peace Officers Association; Tongass Alaska Girl Scouts Council; and Pioneers of Alaska.
